“Living well united is a great place for seniors and some events include fun for all ages!! We have enjoyed many activities here as a family. There are special activities like baking classes and art classes and the library does Bingo. It is also a very nice place to rent for events. It is a wonderful place for gathering and great for our rural community members. Stop by and check it out!!”
“This place is a huge asset to the community not only for our seniors but also for all members of the community by providing opportunities that aren’t found elsewhere!”
“Tons of activities and fun events, great people running it and community members involved. Small town proud”
“Such a fun place to gather and do fun new things! Love it!”
“This place has amazing and selfless leadership that has a heart for helping all those who enter the doors.”
“I have been going to LWU Senior Center since it opened July, 2020. Being 84, the Center has kept me motivated to get out of the house and keep physically active and laughing. The presentations cover so many areas, health, financial, pre-funeral planning, fraud and scams, history, and crafting, etc. The Center is a great place to meet new people, socialize, join in fun activities, cards and bingo and to volunteer.”Evelyn Johnson
“This is a good addition to LeRoy”
“Would highly recommend this place”
“The Living Well United center has been a God send to me. Being a widow, it gives me a place to go where I can visit with friends and make new friends. We are gaining new people who are finding out about it and are now coming and really enjoying it. Every chance I get, I push to tell others what they are truly missing out on by not attending. It is truly a blessing for our community.”
“One of the benefits of the senior center is the ability to interact with one another. I feel, isolationism, is one of the problems seniors encounter and the center give them the opportunity to get out and mingle with their peers!!”
“Living Well United Center has been a blessing to me. I’ve met people that I would not have met before and have enjoyed getting to know them better. Our Center is a fun place to play Canasta, Euchre and Bingo. There’s always a puzzle going on the back table for all the puzzle lovers. I’ve learned a lot at the Center from the different speakers on topics that are relevant to seniors. We always have a pot of coffee and hot water for tea or cold water to drink and a lot of the time have treats to eat. Twice a month, a lunch is prepared. We’re also involved in the community. We have pork chop/bake sales, Christmas in July and sell popcorn at Oktoberfest. Come to the Center and have fun and make some new friends!!!”
“Having a senior center gives us exposure to a variety of new experiences. Lots of interesting topics and projects. It keeps us busy and gets us out of the house. We look forward to seeing all of our friends and have lots of laughs. We also enjoy the food and tasty treats. And we have a wonderful coordinator that everyone loves!”
